BLENDED DELIVERY OVERVIEW
Our blended Childcare First Aid course offers participants a flexible training solution, providing the essential skills and knowledge required to respond to first aid emergencies involving infants and children, in accordance with guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).
This nationally accredited course is ideal for workers who need to gain child care first aid accreditation with minimal time away from the job. The theory component can be completed at your own pace via our online learning platform and covers first aid principles, the responsibilities of a first aider, recognising and responding to emergencies, and assessing and managing a wide range of medical conditions.
Once the theory is completed, participants attend a face-to-face practical session with an experienced trainer, where they will demonstrate skills such as obtaining consent from parents or guardians, performing CPR, providing care for conditions like asthma and anaphylaxis, using first aid equipment, communicating with emergency services and workplace supervisors, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring confidentiality.
