Work Health and Safety for Supervisors and Managers

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496).

Assessment for this course includes both theory and practical components to ensure participants can apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. The theory assessment covers key areas such as health and safety legislation, the roles and responsibilities of duty holders, consultation requirements, risk management processes, and the analysis of workplace health and safety data.

Practical assessments include a series of workplace-based activities, including participation in consultation and communication processes, identifying training needs, and completing incident reporting procedures. These assessments are designed to reflect common supervisory responsibilities and ensure participants are prepared to lead safety initiatives effectively.

All assessment tasks are submitted through our online learning management system, ensuring convenient access and efficient submission.

Age requirements

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Due to course restrictions, enrolments will not be accepted from individuals under 18 years of age, even with parental or guardian consent. Refer to our FAQ for more information.

Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND)

Participants are required to have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills and be able to read and write in English. This course requires a moderate level of computer literacy to navigate the online learning system and complete required activities.

To complete this course, participants require:

  • Reliable internet connection
  • Speakers or headphones 
  • Microphone and webcam
  • PDF reader 
  • Office Suite applications (Microsoft Office recommended)

Recognition of Prior Learning

Pinnacle Safety and Training does not offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for this course. Due to the duration and cost of this short course, RPL assessment would have limited value to participants.

Credit Transfer

Pinnacle Safety and Training offers Credit Transfers for this training product.  A Credit Transfer is granted where the previously attained unit of competency has been achieved. After enrolment, participants are eligible to submit a Credit Transfer application.

It is important to note that while the unit of competency is eligible for Credit Transfer, the participant will receive a Statement of Attainment without the specific “Work Health and Safety for Supervisors and Managers” course name listed. This is due to the course being delivered in a contextualised format with specific methodologies, and course completion through attendance is required to achieve the intended learning outcomes.

All training and assessment requirements are completed within the course duration. Participants are not required to undertake any additional study or assessment outside of the scheduled course time.
