FACE TO FACE DELIVERY OVERVIEW

Delivered face-to-face at our training facilities in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, our Health and Safety Committee course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the functions, responsibilities, and legal obligations that contribute to a successful and effective committee. Delivered by an experienced trainer, the course includes hands-on, practical activities to help participants apply their knowledge in real-world contexts.

Participants will gain the skills needed to actively engage in committee meetings and contribute to the development of a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment. Key topics include interpreting legal obligations and responsibilities, understanding and applying the functions of health and safety committees, the purpose and timing of meetings, how to conduct successful and meaningful meetings, and developing effective consultation and communication skills.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This is a non-accredited training course. Students who complete this course will receive a Statement of Attendance. This certificate is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496).

ASSESSMENT INFORMATION

This course has no formal assessment requirements. However, participants will engage in a simulated health and safety committee meeting, providing an opportunity to practise and apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the training in a supportive environment. ~~COURSE SELECTION~~

PREREQUISITES & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Age requirements

Participants must be at least 18 years of age.Due to course restrictions, enrolments will not be accepted from individuals under 18 years of age, even with parental or guardian consent. Refer to our FAQ for more information.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills (LLN)

Participants must have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills and be able to read and write in English.

RESOURCES

This course encourages students to bring along work examples that may be included as examples in the course and activities. If you have any of the following, please bring along (if approved by your workplace):

  • HSC minutes, agendas or templates
  • HSC policies and procedures

This is not a mandatory requirement. Simulated examples will be provided as part of the course material.
