ONLINE DELIVERY OVERVIEW

The non-accredited Chain of Responsibility (CoR) course provides participants with the essential knowledge and skills to meet their legal obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). Delivered online through our interactive learning management system, this self-paced course allows participants to complete their training at their own convenience.

The course features engaging, interactive lessons, including videos, quizzes, and practical scenarios, that cover key topics such as understanding Chain of Responsibility duties, identifying breaches and penalties, managing speed and fatigue, calculating vehicle dimensions and mass limits, securing loads, and applying workplace policies and procedures.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This is a non-accredited training course. Students who complete this course will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496).

ASSESSMENT INFORMATION

Assessment is conducted through short quizzes designed to reinforce learning and test understanding. Participants must successfully complete each quiz to demonstrate their knowledge and receive their certificate of completion.

COURSE SELECTION

Pinnacle offers this non-accredited course to provide practical Chain of Responsibility awareness for workers who need the knowledge but may not have access to the workplace setup required for formal assessment.

Some learners may require accredited outcomes from a nationally recognised unit of competency (TLIF0001 or TLIF0009).  Please ensure that you have checked your individual requirements before undertaking this course to ensure that this course is suitable for your needs.

PREREQUISITES & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Age Requirements

Participants must be at least 15 years of age.Participants under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian to enrol and participate in this course. Consent will be obtained during the enrolment process, and a signed consent form must be submitted prior to the start of training. Refer to our FAQ for more information.

Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND)

Participants are required to have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills and be able to read and write in English. This course requires a basic level of computer literacy to navigate the online learning system and complete course activities.
