Our online VET Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00024) is delivered via an online self-paced e-learning platform that includes interactive modules, quizzes, and real-world scenarios.
The VET Assessor Skill Set course provides participants with the essential skills and knowledge to conduct assessments within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector in compliance with the ASQA Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
Designed as a fully online, self-paced course, the VET Assessor Skill Set offers participants the flexibility to learn at their own pace, from any location. Through engaging and interactive modules, participants will gain essential knowledge of the vocational education and training (VET) sector, including its legislative framework, key stakeholders, and its role in supporting career development across a wide range of industries.
The course covers key topics that build a strong understanding of the VET sector, including its structure, legislative framework, and key stakeholders, as well as its role in supporting diverse career pathways. Participants will learn how to interpret training packages, navigate the National Register of VET, and design tailored learning plans to meet individual student needs. The course also focuses on planning and conducting competency-based assessments, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), while providing strategies for preparing students, making reasonable adjustments, and carrying out pre- (and) post-assessment validation to support quality and continuous improvement.
