VET delivered to school students teacher enhancement skill set

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496). 

The TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set consists of the following national units of competency:

• TAEASS412 - Assess competence
• TAEASS413 - Participate in assessment validation
• TAEDES411 - Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs
• TAEDES412 - Design and develop plans for vocational training
• TAEPDD401 - Work effectively in the VET sector

Assessment for this course includes both theory and practical components. All assessment tasks and trainer feedback is submitted through our online learning management system. 

Participants will work through quizzes, written tasks, and practical activities to show they can confidently navigate the VET sector, develop learning plans, identify learner needs, carry out competency-based assessments, and take part in both pre- (and) post-assessment validation. 

To complete one of the practical assessment tasks, participants will need access to four (4) volunteers to play the roles of your students. These volunteers must be at least 15 years of age and consent to being video recorded for the purposes of assessment. 

To complete the validation assessment activities, participants will need access to qualified staff from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). If you do not have access to suitable individuals, Pinnacle offers a virtual TAE Validation Workshop that will provide a pathway for completing your validation assessment requirements.

Age Requirements

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Due to course restrictions, enrolments will not be accepted from individuals under 18 years of age, even with parental or guardian consent. Refer to our FAQ for more information.

Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND) 

Participants are required to have at least a Year 12 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills and be able to read and write in English. This course requires a strong level of computer literacy to navigate the online learning system and complete required activities.

To complete this course, participants require:

• A laptop computer
• Internet browser (Chrome recommended)
• Wi-Fi capability
• Headphones
• PDF reader
• Office Suite applications (Microsoft Office recommended)
• Optional items to assist with workflow and ergonomics:
• Additional monitor/screen
• Wireless mouse and keyboard

Smartphones and tablets are not supported due to compatibility issues with some applications. Refer to our FAQ for more information. 

Role-play volunteers

To complete a practical assessment task required for this course, you will need access to four (4) volunteers to play the roles of your students. These volunteers must be at least 15 years of age and consent to being video recorded for the purposes of assessment.

Recognition of Prior Learning 

Pinnacle Safety and Training does not offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for this course. This decision has been made to ensure the integrity and validity of the training product. 

Credit Transfer

Pinnacle Safety and Training offers Credit Transfers for this training product. A Credit Transfer is granted where the previously attained unit of competency has been achieved. After enrolment, participants are eligible to submit a Credit Transfer application.

This course is delivered online and is entirely self-paced, allowing you to complete the content in your own time and at your convenience, within the 3-month enrolment period. Participants need to ensure that they allow sufficient time in a quiet, focused study environment to fully absorb the content and complete the assessment tasks.
