The TAE Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00019) course provides participants with the essential skills and knowledge to conduct assessments within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, operating independently and in compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
Designed as a fully online, self-paced course, the Assessor Skill Set offers participants the flexibility to learn at their own pace, from any location. Through engaging and interactive modules, participants will gain essential knowledge of the vocational education and training (VET) sector, including its legislative framework, key stakeholders, and its role in supporting career development across a wide range of industries.
The course covers key topics such as navigating nationally recognised training products and the National Register of VET, planning and preparing for assessments, making reasonable adjustments to support learner needs, and conducting competency-based assessments, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Participants will also learn how to engage in pre-assessment and post-assessment validation processes to maintain the quality and integrity of assessment outcomes.
