ABOUT THIS COURSE
This combined Working at Height and Confined Space Entry course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to work safely in two of the most hazardous environments found in the workplace. Participants will learn how to conduct basic risk assessments, select appropriate control measures, and perform tasks safely and in accordance with legislative requirements.
The working at height component covers key topics such as the definition of working at height, relevant legislation and guidance material, and risk assessment processes. Participants will also gain practical experience in selecting and using height safety equipment across a range of systems, including fall restraint, work positioning, and fall arrest.
The confined space entry component includes identifying confined spaces, understanding legislative requirements, and applying effective risk management strategies. Participants will follow confined space permits, apply isolation procedures, conduct atmospheric monitoring, and implement safety and emergency procedures. Practical training covers entry and exit procedures to ensure compliance and safety when working in confined spaces.
