FACE TO FACE DELIVERY OVERVIEW
Delivered face-to-face at our training facilities in Brisbane and Perth, our nationally recognised Vertical Rescue course provides participants with the specialist skills and knowledge required to safely conduct rescues in vertical environments.
This course is suitable for those working in emergency response teams or high-risk industries. The course covers the roles and responsibilities of rescue team members and how to effectively prepare for rescue operations in line with Australian Standards AS 4488 and AS/NZS 1891.4.
Participants will gain hands-on experience using both hardware and software rescue equipment, including ropes, harnesses, knots, and hitches.
Training includes establishing anchor systems, executing a variety of rescue techniques such as self-rescue, pick-off rescues, and stretcher-based rescues, and managing suspension intolerance with appropriate first aid.
Core skills such as abseiling, rope ascension, and operating lowering and raising systems are developed through practical scenarios, along with stretcher rigging, escorting, and safe patient handling.
