ABOUT THIS COURSE
This Tower Climbing and Rescue course equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge to safely access, work on, and conduct rescues from towers, poles, and similar structures. Designed for workers in industries such as telecommunications, energy transmission, and chair-lift operations, the course focuses on risk assessment, climbing techniques, and emergency response in high-risk environments.
Participants will learn to apply safe working at height and rigging practices in line with current legislation, regulations, and Australian Standards. Training covers the use of ladder fall-arrest systems, work positioning and fall arrest systems, and double-hook lanyards. Participants will also gain practical experience in selecting, using, and maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE), installing secure anchorage, and evaluating structural conditions and climbing routes.
