ABOUT THIS COURSE
Our nationally accredited Advanced First Aid course is delivered in a face-to-face practical training setting. This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to effectively respond to a wide range of emergency situations. Participants will learn to assess casualties and manage incidents, including identifying hazards, coordinating first aid activities, and deploying resources in line with workplace procedures.
The course covers essential first aid techniques, such as conducting visual and verbal secondary assessments, performing CPR (including bag-valve-mask), and applying basic triage for multiple casualty incidents. Participants will also gain practical experience in communicating incident details to emergency services, reporting incidents, and participating in post-incident debriefing and evaluation.
The course provides comprehensive training in administering first aid for various injuries, including severe bleeding, burns, fractures, head and spinal injuries, shock, cardiac arrest, and envenomation, ensuring participants are prepared to respond confidently in critical situations.
