ONLINE DELIVERY OVERVIEW

Our online Chief Warden Course is a self-paced training program delivered through our interactive learning management system, allowing participants to complete the training at their own convenience. 
 

Participants will develop essential skills to lead and manage workplace emergencies, making critical decisions about people’s safety and providing clear instructions during an incident. 
 

The course features engaging interactive learning modules, knowledge quizzes, and practical scenarios, allowing learners to practice coordinating and controlling emergency procedures. Key topics include preparing for workplace emergencies, managing emergency reports and signals, coordinating initial responses, and effectively concluding incidents.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496).

ASSESSMENT INFORMATION

Assessment for this course includes both theory and practical components. All assessment tasks and trainer feedback is submitted through our online learning management system.

Some learners may require accredited outcomes from a nationally recognised unit of competency (TLIF0001 or TLIF0009).  Please ensure that you have checked your individual requirements before undertaking this course to ensure that this course is suitable for your needs.

PREREQUISITES & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Prerequisites

Participants must hold:
PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation

Age requirements

Participants must be at least 15 years of age. Participants under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian to enrol and participate in this course. Consent will be obtained during the enrolment process, and a signed consent form must be submitted prior to the start of training. Refer to our FAQ for more information.

Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND)

Participants are required to have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills and be able to read and write in English. This course requires a basic level of computer literacy to navigate the online learning system and complete course activities.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) & CREDIT TRANSFERS

Recognition of Prior Learning

Pinnacle Safety and Training does not offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for this course. Due to the duration and cost of this short course, RPL assessment would have limited value to participants.

Credit Transfer

Pinnacle Safety and Training offers Credit Transfers for this training product. A Credit Transfer is granted where the previously attained unit of competency has been achieved. After enrolment, participants are eligible to submit a Credit Transfer application.

It is important to note that while the unit/s of competency are eligible for Credit Transfer, you may be required to resit the training and assessment to meet industry or legislative requirements.
 

COURSE WORKLOAD

This course is delivered online and is entirely self-paced, allowing you to complete the content in your own time and at your convenience, within the 3-month enrolment period. Participants need to ensure that they allow sufficient time in a quiet, focused study environment to fully absorb the content and complete the assessment tasks.
