Breathing Apparatus

ABOUT THIS COURSE

Our face-to-face Operate Breathing Apparatus course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely inspect, maintain, and operate self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). It is designed for workers who may be required to use breathing apparatus in confined spaces, during firefighting operations, or in other hazardous environments where respiratory protection is essential.

Participants will learn about the respiratory system, types of breathing apparatus, relevant standards, and risk assessment. Training covers inspections, donning and using SCBA, emergency procedures, communication, and tally boards. It also includes calculating working time, escape planning, and proper cleaning, maintenance, and storage to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
