ONLINE DELIVERY OVERVIEW

Our online Lock out Tag out (LOTO) course is delivered online through a flexible, self-paced e-learning platform, including interactive modules, quizzes, and simulated scenarios.

Participants can complete the course at their own convenience, from any location, gaining essential knowledge for personnel who work with or around plant and equipment that requires isolation to prevent the uncontrolled release of hazardous energy.

The course covers key topics including understanding relevant legislative and workplace requirements, recognising sources of hazardous energy and the risks of inadequate isolation, identifying roles and responsibilities in the isolation process, planning and preparing for simple and complex isolations, selecting and applying appropriate lockout devices and safety tags, verifying effective isolation, monitoring control measures while plant is isolated and safely carrying out de-isolation procedures.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This is a non-accredited training course. Students who complete this course will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496).

ASSESSMENT INFORMATION

Assessment is conducted through short quizzes designed to reinforce learning and test understanding. Participants must successfully complete each quiz to demonstrate their knowledge and receive their certificate of completion.

PREREQUISITES & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Age requirements 

Participants must be at least 15 years of age. Participants under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian to enrol and participate in this course. Consent will be obtained during the enrolment process, and a signed consent form must be submitted prior to the start of training. Refer to our FAQ for more information.

Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND) 

Participants are required to have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills and be able to read and write in English. This course requires a basic level of computer literacy to navigate the online learning system and complete course activities.
